At present, the construction methods of domestic large-scale storage tanks mainly include the water floating method, the internal scaffolding method, the tank outer wall or the outer wall hanging a tripod and the tank wall trolley, and the jacking and inversion method.

1. The water-filled formal installation process mainly uses the floating of the pontoon as a construction platform for wall panel construction.

Advantages: during the construction, the high-altitude operation is reduced, and the construction difficulty is reduced; at the same time, the settlement test of the tank foundation can be carried out at the same time during the construction process, and the tightness of the floating tank and the tightness of the tank bottom can be checked. Greatly reduces scaffolding costs or jacking costs.

Disadvantages: Since the water filling must be carried out after the construction of the floating tank is completed, it also affects the construction of the tank wall to a certain extent. The non-destructive testing of each circle must be completed before the floating of the floating tank; cause difficulties in the construction period. There are also some people who artificially soak the inner wall of the tank in water for a long time, which increases the corrosion of the tank. The lack of water sources also limits the use of this construction method.

Disadvantages: The self-weight of 100,000 cans is too large, and it is difficult to lift; there are some limitations in automatic welding, and the welding deformation is large; professional jacking equipment and expansion rings are required during construction.

4. Formal installation construction method combining erection of scaffolding on the outer wall of the tank and trolley walking on the tank wall

In the construction method, there are still many people's minds such as the mast method, etc., but considering the safety and quality of the project and the progress of the construction period. In recent years, we have uniformly adopted the formal installation method of erecting scaffolding on the outer wall of the tank and walking trolleys on the tank wall in domestic construction. Every two tanks are used as a working group by the same installation team, and the scaffolding is implemented by a professional construction team.

Gas-electric vertical welding is adopted for the vertical seam of the oil tank wall, submerged arc automatic welding is adopted for the circular seam, manual arc welding is used for the edge plate of the tank bottom, the bottoming is adopted for the medium plate, and the submerged arc welding of broken wire is used for filling the cover surface. The large corner seam adopts the welding process of manual welding for bottoming and submerged arc automatic welding for filling and covering, and the floating plate is welded by manual welding.
